FIFA 2018 World Cup will be played in the months of June & July 2018. FIFA World Cup is an international Football event where the number of teams competes to get the trophy. 3: In the quarter-final round of 1954 World Cup, Austria defeated Switzerland by 7-5. This match is still present in the record books as the highest scoring match in World Cup history. Austrian striker Theodor Wagner scored a hattrick in this match. He scored in 25th, 27th, & 53rd minute of the match.
4: Turkish footballer Hakan Şükür has the record of scoring the fastest goal in the World Cup History. In the 3rd-place match of 2002 World Cup, Şükür scored the goal just after the 10.8 seconds of the kick-off. This match was played against South Korea and Turkey won this match by 3-2.
5: Brazilian legend Pelé is the only player who has won three World Cup championships. He was the part of the Brazilian team in 1958, 1962, 1966, & 1970 World Cups. Brazil won 1958, 1962, and 1970 World Cups. Pelé also holds the record for the youngest player to score a goal as well as a hattrick in the World Cup.
6: The 2006 World Cup Tournament holds the record of most number of cards shown in a single tournament. 28 Red Cards and 345 Yellow Cards were received by the players. 7: Cameroonian player Roger Milla is the oldest player to score a World Cup goal. He was 42 years and 39 days old when he scored this goal against Russia in 1994 World Cup.
8: Hungarian forward László Kiss holds the record to score the fastest hattrick in the World Cup. He scored these goals in 70, 74, and 77th minute of the game against El Salvador in the 1982 World Cup. László Kiss was the substitute player in this match so it is another world record. It is one of the most terrific World Cup records.
9: German striker Miroslav Klose holds the record of most World Cup Goal. He is on top of the list with 16 goals in the World Cup. He has played 23 World Cup games from 2002-2014. By scoring his 16th goal, he broke the previous record of Brazilian striker Ronaldo.
10: Dutch player Ernie Brandts holds one of the most amazing records in the history of World Cup. He scored a goal and an own-goal in the same match. It was a second-round match between Italy and the Netherlands in 1978 World Cup. Brandts first scored the own-goal in the 19th minute and then scored a goal for his team in the 49th minute. Luckily, Netherlands won this match by 2-1.
